welcome to SITWELL PARK GOLF CLUB

Sitwell Park Golf Club offers golfers a tough but fair challenge on a MacKenzie designed course. Our historic course retains much of the original MacKenzie design. The layout shapes around the hillside, so expect sloping fairways, elevated greens, and fast undulating putts.

Set in a quiet, scenic location away from the hustle and bustle of modern life, but just a 5-minute drive from junction 33 of the M1, Sitwell Park is an accessible, beautiful, and peaceful course that guarantees a memorable experience for all visiting golfers.

CAPTAIN 2025

Paul Kettleborough

My name is Paul Kettleborough, and I am honoured to serve as Captain of Sitwell Park Golf Club for 2025. I have been a proud member of the club for 15 years, during which time I have seen firsthand the dedication and camaraderie that make Sitwell Park such a special place.

Born and raised in Rotherham, I qualified as an electrician after school and initially worked for Rotherham Borough Council before deciding to run my own business, which I have successfully managed for nearly 30 years.

Having played football for many years, I sought a new challenge that would keep me active, and golf quickly became a passion. Sitwell Park provided the perfect environment to develop my game, and since then, I have been fortunate to play on courses around the world, with Turkey and Australia being among my favorite destinations.
I previously served as a board member at Sitwell Park and remain committed to helping enhance and maintain the club’s excellent facilities for all members. Serving as Captain is both an honor and a privilege, and I look forward to representing the club and working alongside fellow members to ensure another fantastic year at Sitwell Park.

Vice CAPTAIN 2025

Richard Ogley

Having lived in and around Rotherham all my life, I was previously a member at Grange Park and Wath Golf Clubs, before joining Sitwell Park in 2016.

Work throughout my life has been the family business founded by my father Graham. Maltby Auto Electrical Services Ltd has evolved considerably and is now enjoying its 57th year. Having learnt the ropes, I’ve been the Managing Director for the last 25.

I’m told I’ve been happily married for 22 years! Ann and I have 3 wonderful grown-up children, all of whom are now embarking on the next exciting phase of their lives, including introducing us to the joys of being grandparents.

Golf and motorcycling are my hobbies outside of work hours – hours which after 40 years are diminishing and becoming more flexible. This flexibility allows me to take this wonderful opportunity to be your Vice Captain and to support Paul during his tenure as Captain.

Being Vice Captain is an opportunity I’m very much looking forward to. Having supported the scratch team, the juniors’ section and social events over the years I appreciate the many faces and functions of the Club. I’m looking forward to further supporting and embracing them all, ultimately alongside next year’s lady Captain.

The people, staff and volunteers on the course, the Board, various committees and those in front and behind the scenes of the clubhouse, make this a great club. It is a club that I’m looking forward to representing and one we should all be proud to be members of.
